Four indecisive friends and other entrepreneurs are partnered up to make small pitches to what the show should be about. You, the audience, decides which of the pitches gets the green light. For one night and one night only, join us for our third installment of The Presentation.

With right wing attacks on LGBTQ rights, abortion rights, voting rights and more, we need progressive laughs now more than ever. That’s why we’re excited to present Laughing Liberally Milwaukee, a monthly progressive political comedy show featuring Milwaukee’s top liberal and progressive comedians. Laughing Liberally Milwaukee is hosted by comedian, cartoonist and satirist Matthew Filipowicz. Matthew’s work has been featured by CNN, NPR, PBS, HBO, BBC, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Atlantic, the Nation, the London Times, Ain’t It Cool News, and the Huffington Post. Matthew also hosts the creatively titled Laughing Liberally Milwaukee Podcast. Comedians on the August 8th bill include Dana Ehrmann, Tony Castro, Gemini The Savage, John McCombs and sketch comedy troupe The Accountants Of Homeland Security. In addition to some of the finest progressive comedians Milwaukee has to offer, each Laughing Liberally Milwaukee features a special interview with a local activist, journalist, or political figure. If you come to see ComedySportz, you'll see one Referee and two teams of Players, one red and one blue--competing against each other in improv games based on the suggestions of the fans watching the match! The Midnite Show is Milwaukee's uncensored improv comedy troupe.

The shows are sometimes dirty, irreverent, silly or satirical, but one thing they always aim to be is funny.

Side Effects Sketch Show

Side Effects is a fast-paced live sketch comedy show featuring original sketches by emerging local writers and performers. Every sketch is new, and no show is ever the same. Featuring an opening stand-up act and a local musical guest, Side Effects showcases fresh comedic voices in an evening of entirely original live entertainment.  

$10 at the door: cash, card, and Venmo all accepted. The show takes place in the side theater. Ages 18+.
